Ohio cannabis consumers have a new question to ask: What does the state's higher yeast-and-mold threshold mean for the flower sold at licensed dispensaries? Ohio reportedly increased the allowable total yeast and mold count for plant material from 10,000 to 50,000 colony-forming units per gram.

The change does not mean every product contains dangerous mold. It does raise an important debate about testing standards, consumer transparency and whether shoppers should be able to see complete laboratory results before buying.
