Ohio Cannabis Town Hall Set for May 7 2025

Join the Columbus Cannabis Town Hall on May 7 to Stop Attacks on Ohio Marijuana Laws

Ohio Cannabis Live will host a Cannabis Town Hall on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Main Columbus Library Auditorium, located at 96 S. Grant Ave. in Columbus, Ohio. The event begins at 4:30 PM and is free to attend. This meeting is being organized in response to ongoing legislative efforts that could significantly alter the state’s voter-approved marijuana laws.

The town hall will provide residents an opportunity to learn about and respond to proposed laws such as House Bill 160 and Senate Bill 86. These bills seek to limit home cultivation, raise taxes on cannabis, impose new penalties, and reduce or eliminate funding for equity and community programs connected to adult-use cannabis sales.

Confirmed agenda topics include:

A breakdown of HB 160 and SB 86 and their potential impacts

Restrictions on home grow and personal possession

Possible rollback of social equity funding and community reinvestment

New criminal penalties for public or shared cannabis use

Steps Ohioans can take to get involved and submit testimony

Speakers will include local advocates, patients, and cannabis policy experts. A moderated panel will follow the speaker portion to allow for audience questions and discussion.
